Parallel Spring: Jamsil
Where memory, time, and city life come together
Set in Seoul’s Seokchon Lake in Jamsil, this piece reflects the neighborhood where I spent part of my childhood. The atmosphere of the seasons, the rhythm of the park, and the layering of memories were key inspirations behind this scene.
Traditional hanbok and modern dress appear side by side, with figures from different eras coexisting naturally in the same frame. At the center of it all is a tiger walking slowly along the path. A quiet guardian, it moves through the landscape as a timeless observer — crossing generations, watching the city change.
The Lotte World Tower rises in the background, a contrast to the traditional tiled roofs nearby. Though it wasn’t there when I was growing up, its presence adds to the layered timeline that defines this piece.
The composition began with AI, then was refined through hand-drawn details to bring texture and emotional clarity.
Part of the Seoul series, Parallel Spring. Created in Singapore. Open to global collaborations.
